Boeing 737NG to Boeing 737 MAX Differences Training Coming Soon

If you are already type-rated on Boeing 737NG, you will be able to convert to Boeing 737 MAX by completing a Differences Training at BAA Training Spain soon. The training will be based on special emphasis areas and technical differences between Boeing 737NG and the Boeing 737 MAX versions to help you safely fly the latter.

THEORY

Theoretical Knowledge

Consists of 110 training hours (90 hours of Ground School training and 20 hours of Cockpit Procedures Training (CPT)).

The ground school training includes the following subjects:

Cockpit Procedures Training is divided into 5 sessions and the subjects include:

  • Introduction
  • Boeing 737 MAX documentation
  • Checklist philosophy
  • Two pilot operations
  • Call-outs
  • Flight profiles/speeds
  • Navigation settings
PRACTICE

Flight Phase Instruction consists of 9 FFS sessions of 36 hours and a skill test (4 hours), 40 hours in total, on the Boeing 737 MAX FFS. Each FFS session is comprised of 4 hours of flight training for a crew of two pilots. The training time is divided between Pilot Flying and Pilot Not Flying. The last session is a skill test.

A briefing starts an hour before the flight session, whereas a debriefing takes place for an hour after the session.
