BAA Training Expands its Training Capability with New B737 NG FFS

BAA Training, one of the largest independent aviation training centers in Europe, is expanding training capabilities by adding a brand new Boeing 737 Next Generation full flight simulator to its headquarters in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The brand new training device will be ready for training on 12th October and will add 7,300 hours of training per year. Also, it is going to expand the scope of type rating training equipment at BAA Training headquarters, where Boeing 737 Classic and Airbus 320 full flight simulators are already operating. The market price of this new full flight simulator varies from 9.5 to 10.5 million euros.

“Our flight training center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a dedicated team of experienced instructors who help to ensure that BAA Training services are at the highest level. The acquisition of new training equipment is essential to the strategic moves we are making to continue offering our clients a favorable training location with flexible training solutions and the infrastructure of the highest standards,” says Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO at BAA Training.

The brand new Boeing 737 Next Generation full flight simulator will be equipped with the latest innovative systems, like Tropos 6000XR visual system, offering pilots extremely real visual feel. Pilots will get up-to-date airport information and will experience flight scenario dynamics.

Moreover, the simulator will provide new work experience for flight instructors, where they will find intuitive lesson plan builder, a 3D map of airplane flight path with event markers, integrated information for easier access to advanced functions and ergonomically redesigned instructor office.

Expanding aircraft type variety available for type rating training is not the only action of BAA Training expansion in the past year. The increasing number of Ab Initio students driven by actively ongoing Cadet programs correlates with the growing needs for type rating training at BAA Training. In order to respond to that, the Academy is planning to acquire more full flight simulators in the near future to position the aviation training services delivered by the company for long-term success on the market. Notably, the recently purchased additional Airbus 320 full flight simulator is due to arrive at BAA Training headquarters later this autumn making the total of four full flight simulators by the end of 2018. In addition to that, the company has acquired Airbus A318/A319/320/321 Door and the original Over Wing Exit and Slide Trainer this year, as well as invested over a million euros into Ab Initio training material and equipment purchasing two new Cessna 172 and two Tecnam T2002 aircraft.
